Mission

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead our commercial efforts in the Oil & Gas sector. This individual will drive customer acquisition, develop strategic partnerships, and accelerate revenue growth by positioning Absolut Sensing as the premier provider of methane emissions monitoring solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute a commercial strategy to expand our client base in the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on LDAR and MRV services.

  • Market Expansion: Identify and target key players, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operators, regulatory bodies, and environmental consultancies.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and technology partners to drive adoption of our solutions.

  • Customer Engagement: Understand client needs, tailor solutions, and manage long sales cycles to secure high-value contracts.

  • Thought Leadership: Represent Absolut Sensing at industry conferences, panels, and working groups on emissions monitoring and compliance.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align solutions with market demands.

  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets while driving long-term business success.

Profil

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of LDAR and MRV services and a proven track record of selling to Oil & Gas operators, regulators, and service providers. They will leverage their network and expertise to establish Absolut Sensing as the go-to partner for emissions detection and compliance solutions.

5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy within LDAR, MRV, or emissions monitoring services.

  • Deep industry knowledge of Oil & Gas emissions regulations, methane detection technologies, and environmental compliance.

  • Proven track record of selling complex technical solutions

  • Strong network within Oil & Gas operators, regulatory agencies, and environmental service providers.

  • Experience working with remote sensing, satellite data, or geospatial analytics is a plus.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

A base salary of $180,000 per year.
